How It Works

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is a waterproof floating floor that clicks together. It comes in boxes with a specific sq ft coverage printed on the label.

The Formula

Boxes = CEIL((Room Area x (1 + Waste%)) / Box Coverage)

Variables

Room Area — Length x Width in sq ft
Box Coverage — Sq ft per box (check label, typically 20-27 sq ft)

Example

14x12 room = 168 sq ft + 10% waste = 184.8 sq ft. At 23.64 sq ft/box = 8 boxes.
